Mandy will be joining Caragh Buxton, Fabric Nation, Loulou Workshop, Helen Lang, Caroline Jefford, Lucinda Denning, Emma Forester, Saima Majid and Stars n Stars at the Sprout Community Arts Centre in Tooting.

Tooting Art Trail, Glass Workshop and Wandsworth Artists Open Houses 2011 

Toot toot, the  Tooting Art trail is here again and it is bigger, better and more exciting than ever before! This year you can not only see a record number of local artists, take part in the many creative workshops or take part in a story telling walk but the more houses you visit the more often you get the chance to win a Meal for Two at the Wheatsheaf on Upper Tooting Road. Never mind cups of tea and cake!

Mandy will be joining Fabric Nation, Caragh Buxton, Jeni Walker and Neil Randall at their shared venue at 69 Fallsbrook Road, London SW16 6DU as part of the Wandsworth Open Houses Weekends (Venue Number 73 in the brochure). 
 

Mandy will hold a drop-in workshop to make a fused glass coaster on the first weekend, Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd October between 11.00am - 6.00pm. No prior booking necessary - just turn up!
The cost is £8 per item and you can pick up your finished coaster on the second weekend (alternatively for an extra £1 it can be posted to you instead). 
 
 
 
 
At the same venue the wonderful Gillian of Fabric Nation is holding a drop-in brooch making workshop on the second weekend, Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th October (cost £5 per item) and there will be a secret shed video installation, something that proved very popular indeed last year! No prior booking necessary, just turn up.
 
 
At 19 Leverson Street, London SW16 6DQ (venue 78  in the brochure) the lovely Louise Williams of loulouworkshop will be joined by Kate Clark London, Helen Lang and Julia Hardy and together they will invite you to their free vintage tea garden (weather permitting). They will be serving tea and cake on china from Furzedown Vintage China Hire on both weekends...

Just Glass at Mary’s Living and Giving Shop Supporting Save the Children  
 
For one night onlyMary’s Living & Giving Shop Supporting  Save the Children will be hosting an evening with Just Glass, who will be showcasing the works of internationally acclaimed and emerging glass artists, including Mandy Treptow. The evening will be the only occasion in 2011 when this collection of beautiful jewellery, stylish vessels and unique sculptures will be exhibited and available for purchase. Living and Giving is a joint collaboration with Mary Portas, known widely from the BBC series Mary Queen of Shops.
 
This event is being held in conjunction with Notting Hill’s First Wednesdays, with a percentage of funds raised on the evening going towards Save the Children’s, ‘No Child Born Without a Chance’ campaign. Eight million children die every year from easily preventable causes, such as pneumonia or diarrhoea.  Save the Children’s ‘No Child Born to Die campaign, calls for vaccinations to be made available for the world’s poorest children – a move which could save a quarter of these children from dying.  The campaign is being backed by a range of celebrities, including Alexandra Burke, Helena Bonham Carter and Natasha Kaplinsky.
 
The full range of artists exhibiting will be Angela Thwaites, Charlie Murphy, Frances Federer, Ingrid Hunter, Joanna Waddy, Julia Hayward, Julie Light, Maha Jacobs, Mandy Treptow, Phillipa Candy, Stuart Turnbull, Su Herbert and Wendy Newhofer.

The Just Glass Society in Craft & Design magazine

Sparkle Contemporary Craft and Gourmet Food Fair at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington.
 
 
Once again Mandy has teamed up with Fabric Nation and together they will bring you their latest trademark glassware, jewellery and vintage textile items. There is also a brand new range of fused glass sun catchers and Christmas tree ornaments. Around the fair there will be over 60 designer makers so you can get all your Christmas presents early as well as tucking into some mouthwatering food! Reflections Seminar by the Just Glass Society
 
As a committee member of Just Glass, Mandy has helped to organise the second Seminar by the Just Glass Society, following the successful SHIFT in 2008. Speakers will includeSabrina Cant, Angela Jarman, Charlie Murphy, Kevin Petrie and Colin Reid and it will be chaired by Peter Layton of London Glassblowing.
